Emmie: Omaha Zoo

Mommy and Daddy both had today off from work, so we decided to start the weekend off right with a trip to the Omaha zoo. Emmie loves animals, so we thought this was a perfect adventure. Emmie started her day with a delicious pancake. Emmie loved the pancake, but was a little disappointed that Mommy wouldn't drench it in sticky syrup. We thought we would save that mess for Grandma and Grandpa's house. Emmie got all dressed up in a new outfit, complete with socks and shoes. She only had one minor, okay major meltdown about the shoes, but she recovered nicely and wore the shoes the entire time!

Mommy and Daddy didn't know how many exhibits we would make it through, so we thought we would definitely hit the petting zoo! Emmie loved the petting zoo. She touched a goat, pig and cow. She liked the goats so much that she pulled a few tails and ears! Then, she got to see a lion and screamed in its face. Daddy insisted we leave that exhibit, the big scaredy cat! Emmie got a little cranky from all the extra stimulation, so she only saw a little of the jungle and aquarium. She was so exhausted from this trip that she took a three hour nap when we got home! We definitely plan on returning again soon!
