Hungry Emmie!

Mommy finally figured out the "art" of pureeing baby food this week. It took several attempts and numerous gags from Emmie, but we got it! Emmie has definitely benefited from all the taste testing that she has been asked to do. She decided that she likes any and all food. This week, she has had the pleasure of sampling green beans, peas, sweet potatoes, and pears. So far, she likes potatoes and pears the best. Emmie is a very noisy eater, complete with oohs and aahs of delight. She also yells and smacks her hands on her chair when she is ready for the next bite!

This onesie that Emmie is wearing makes Mommy laugh. Partly because Daddy says its sacreligious, but whatever. Mommy does believe "When God made me, he was showing off". Case in point....Mommy and Emmie were at Target on Sunday to do a little shopping. Some crazy lady came up to Emmie and was marveling at how pretty she was! Then this crazy lady proceeded to attempt to reach into Emmie's car carrier and pull out her pacifier so she could see Emmie's smile. Let's just say that didn't go over well with Mommy. She was unsuccessful at touching Emmie!

We also decided this week that it was time to stop swaddling Emmie at nighttime. We thought that we might have a few rough nights, but nope Emmie loves the freedom!
