So...Grandma has been shopping lately and Emmie always benefits from these trips. Mommy had just mentioned the other day that Emmie was wearing 6 month clothing, but she didn't have much in the 9-12 month range. Look what happened! Emmie is also the proud owner of two new pairs of sunglasses and 2 bikinis for our trip to Naples in November! Emmie is getting stronger and smarter everyday, not to mention louder! She yells, screeches, and hollers all day long. Her favorite sound right now is a high pitch squeal. Daddy swears that the neighbor's dog howls everytime Emmie squeals. Emmie is now eating oatmeal every morning, not that she likes it. She is eating more each time and in several weeks, she gets to start veggies. Emmie is getting so strong, that she can sit up with just a little support from her boppy pillow. She prefers to be sitting up so she can see her surroundings. She absolutely hates to be craddled anymore, which makes Mommy sad. She is also almost ready to cut some teeth. Her upper and lower gums have turned white. Let the fun begin! Emmie also has started in the fun phase of only letting people she knows hold her. Currently, she only is allowing Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpa to hold her. She got a little upset when Aunt Kara and Momo came over to see her, but hopefully this phase doesn't last long!
