9 month Emmie

9 month old Emmie had her wellness check up yesterday! She is 30 inches tall (9oth percentile), 19lbs (50th percentile), and her head measures 46 cm (95th percentile/genius!). We were worried that Emmie was a little skinny, but our doctor assured us that Emmie eats great! The only bad news came with Emmie's right hip. The doctor discovered that the ligaments are a little loose around the hip socket. Next Wednesday, Emmie will see an orthopedic surgeon at the Children's Hospital in Omaha to determine necessary treatment. Poor baby!

9 month old Emmie...

*Loves to dance to any kind of music. Ask Emmie to dance and she will bop her head and shake her booty!
*Loves animals
*Loves to eat. She will eat anything and everything except for peas. Mealtime seems to be her favorite time of day
*Loves Grandma and Papa. She screams in delight when she sees them
*Rolls, scoots, and sits up on her own
*Emmie can say: No, Mama, Dada, Kitty, more, Gee (Grandma), Pa (Papa). These words are sporadic, but they do occur!
*Is extremely visual, she notices everything!
*Has stranger danger, but she recognizes people she knows
*Has great fine motor skills. She has a great pincher grasp
*Sleeps 12-13 hours at night
*Only takes an afternoon nap

*Loves bathtime
