This past week, Grandma and Grandpa came to Omaha to babysit Emmie for the week. It was Mommy's first week back at work and she needed some help with Emmie. Of course, Emmie was delighted to see her favorite people in the world! Mommy was excited as well because her pantry was organized, drapes were bought and the house was cleaned up, all by Grandma of course! Mommy was slacking this week though and forgot to take any pictures of Emmie with Grandma and Grandpa.
Grandma and Grandpa had big plans to take Emmie outside for walks everyday, but of course Omaha weather never cooperates. This was okay because they took Emmie shopping instead! Emmie was very spoiled by Grandpa, who carried Emmie around in stores. His excuse was he couldn't figure out the stroller, but we know that he just wanted to carry her instead! Emmie was the belle of the ball because Grandma told anyone who would listen that Emmie was the most beautiful baby in Nebraska. We agree of course! Emmie was in a great mood all week and slept like a log at night. Grandma and Grandpa sure know how to wear her out. I'm sure the feeling is mutual for them.
Emmie is excited that she will be making her first over night visit without Mommy in May. She is going to Grandma and Grandpa's house for 5 days! Rumor is...that she will be spending the night with her favorite aunt...Aunt Kara!!! Aunt Kara has spoiled her rotten with lots of adorable outfits that Mommy keeps forgetting to take pictures of. Mommy promises that she will take some pictures for favorite Aunt Kara!
Since Mommy forgot to take pictures this week, here is a picture of Emmie getting ready for her Monday night stroll. She liked the bonnet initially, but soon pitched a fit and off came the bonnet. She likes her "she-mullet" to be able to blow in the wind. Emmie only has hair on the back of her head, so hence the "she-mullet".
